Puppy Classes

We invite puppies aged 8 to 18 weeks to join our puppy classes. If your puppy is older, please contact us for more information.

The first 12 weeks of your puppy's life are critical, making early safe socialization and basic training essential. Without this foundation, your adorable puppy may develop into an unruly adolescent, both at home and outside.

Our classes are designed to help owners train their dogs to achieve desired behaviors through engaging play and fun games, creating an enjoyable experience for both dog and owner, free from home distractions.

All training is motivational and reward-based, enabling owners to establish consistent and reliable good behaviors in their pets, following the Kennel Club Puppy Good Citizen Scheme. Upon completing the class, you may choose to enroll in one of our progression classes.

The puppy course consists of six weekly hour-long sessions. The first week is an informational session where we outline what to expect over the next five weeks and provide an opportunity for you to ask questions. All puppies will receive a doggy goody bag, but attendance is not required for this initial session.

Every puppy that completes the course will receive a graduation rosette.

Our curriculum covers essential foundational skills, including:

Focus and engagement
Settle
Recall
Loose Lead Walking
Appropriate socialization
Sit, Down & Stand with situational application
Manners with people and dogs
Drop toys and food
Impulse control

Additionally, we provide all puppy owners with an online version of the course via our exclusive puppy Facebook support group as well as recap emails detailing what was covered in each session to facilitate practice between sessions.

Classes take place in our indoor venue, allowing for uninterrupted learning, regardless of weather conditions, especially during winter. This setup offers puppies a safe learning space with minimal distractions, fostering effective learning.

Puppy One-To-One

Welcoming a new puppy can be both exciting and frustrating. We so often hear the words "naughty" being used to describe puppies who very often just need some basic training from owners who may just need a little guidance. No two puppies are the same so it can be very disconcerting even if you are not a first time dog owner especially if your new puppy is very different to the last. We very often are approached or messaged by owners asking the best way to tackle very common behaviours with puppies, or by owners who now have a now older puppy with issues due to certain puppy behaviours being left unaddressed.

We therefore offer specialised puppy programmes designed to get you off to the best start. We can cover crate training, sleeping, feeding, socialisation, mouthing, enrichment and keeping puppies busy, toilet training, starting walking on a lead, and teaching you how to prevent any potential problems and how how to address common puppy problems should they arise. We can also advise you on recommended tried and tested puppy toys and equipment to save you spending unnecessarily on well marketed gimmicks.

These sessions are best booked whilst the puppy is as young as possible and can be booked prior to you bringing your puppy home and are suitable for any dog up to the age of 16 weeks at the start of the programme . .

Our 121 Puppy Programme is specially tailored to suit you and your puppy.

These sessions take place where they are needed i.e your home, our hall, our private secure field, the park, etc. This ensures your puppy learns essential life skills in each of the contexts we require them to occur.

Recap Emails after each session where required

Access to our exclusive Facebook Support Session with training videos, advice and support between sessions (up to two weeks after the last session)

We only accept a limited number of puppies onto our puppy programmes each month.
